My boyfriend tested positive for Covid today and so far I am symptom-free. However I was at work this morning and found out he was positive five hours into my shift.

I left immediately of course and told my manager, had my HR department follow up with me and my protocols are much more serious than his, who is actually sick.

Mine — quarantine for five days and take a PCR Covid-19 test and wait for results which may take two days or more, and be symptom free for 10 days.

His — he will be expected back to work Friday (today is Monday) long as he’s without symptoms, no test required.

How backwards is that?

And we wonder why it’s spreading so quickly.

These inconsistent CDC guidelines and the guilt trips from employers, no one is being truthful about their symptoms and this is never going to end.

I’m already bored and it’s been three hours.

January 3rd and this year is already kicking my ass.

Trying to think on the positive side but my cup isn’t that full, right now…
